It's so nice to be able to just jump across the i10 to the Coachella Valley Preserve for a quick hike. Today we explored a different trail in a canyon west of Willis Palms. There was no big drama like last weeks hike climbing out of a cave with a rope. This trek was around 8 miles going through sand and 700 feet elevation.

We found an old rusty beer can that was opened with a church key rather then pop tops. I looked it up on the internet later and found out that pop tops were introduces around 1965. So that beer can had to be over 50 plus years. You just never know what one might find out in the desert. Watch the above video.
