This exercise is inspired by a mixture of psychology's verbal self defence, Richard Dimitri's shredder, Muay Thai clinch attacks, and Tovak Kali's principle of 4 body levers. I am working with Jan and Jassa as I close my eyes and prepare for an unexpected, resisting attacks. When one of them says go I should be able to assess, and absorb the scenario, and look for a way to get out of it. These clever guys thought one of them can go behind me and point a knife, while demanding to get my wallet, as the other looks over as a backup. It's a shame that the video was not able to capture the dialog happening as I was telling them that my money is in my back pocket as I was preparing the set up to run. Once I got the chance to, I quickly controlled the head of one, then proceeded to push the shoulder lever to keep him down, while I run for my life. Simple, quick, effective, instinctive.
