I pulled the string from around my hood on my jacket and did this. Then I sprayed starch on it and ironed it flat. Holds its shape really well.

Question/Suggestion, has anyone done a Celtic heart knot and without a break in the string gone right into a wrist band macrame style with buckle like the standard para wrist bands you see? Seems like that would rock, think I'll give it a try myself just not sure I can as of yet.

I tried and tried and I cannot get it to look like a heart. It almost looks like one LOL. So when you go through the motions when tightening the heart, do you repeat those steps until it gets tight and snug?

I just bought some 550 paracord and it works perfectly. The other commenter was right. Tying the knot is not the hardest part- it's tightening it until it's form and STILL looks heart shaped. That's the hardest part. But it takes practice and understanding.
