Fix you

E31s are some of the most beautiful cars built, but they can be challenging to own. My car seems to represent the 'worst case scenario' with fires, explosions, weird and random failures and some really, really bad luck.

How did I survive this black cesspool of bad 'car'ma? Watch and see.

Hey I'm looking into possibly purchasing an 850I, Ive been doing research and I don't see any real problems with them provided they've been cared for properly.

Since you know alot of other E31 owners, how reliable would you say these cars are?

Any common problems or just occasional mishaps?

Are parts easy to come by? and how expensive are the parts relative to an average BMW of the same year?

'Cared for properly' is an understatement! Some of these cars go for miles with few problems. Others can be a trial. Mine passed two buyer's inspectons with flying colors, and what you see on the video isn't the half of it. Parts are easy if you know the sources. Part costs are at par with most 91-97 bimmers, but there are ways around that. If interested in buying I can point you in the right direction. PM me for more information!

Great Video . and great dedication to get a truely brilliant car back to showroom condition , i too am a bmw fan and im currently on my 8th a 645ci but i do hope to own an E31 some day the last car il ever own :-)

Really hope I don't stumble into these problems with mine. Oh, and I had the exact same thing happen to the cooling fan on my old 3-series E46.. Went through three fans loosing their blades and causing a horrible mess - all because of a bad and unoriginal water pump ..
