seafoam in a 2003 WRX

me and my buddy seafoaming my 2003 WRX with 79K on it. Not as much smoke as I expected, but cool anyways.

Note: My buddy took off the blow bypass valve vacuum line off of the inter cooler, and put in a nipple and a longer hose to feed the seafoam in. I personally recommend this to WRX owners as a way to seafoam their car, as the BPV line feeds all the cylinders equally.

I usually don't mess around with additives (STP etc.), but this seems to work. Idle was much smoother after I did this.

so how did this seem to change the feel of the car? Idle better? Better accel? what does it do exactly?

@crue313 - the one thing I really noticed was a smoother idle-it was noticeably less rough at a stoplight after doing this.

What seafoam is supposed to do is clean dirt/gunk out of an engine. Not a performance mod at all really, just to increase the life of the engine you could say maybe.

Just my .02 cents on the smoke though-im not sure if that is all just crap in the engine or the seafoam burning...

yeah, don't do this shit to your car, its not good for it, no such thing as a mechanic in a bottle, there should be no reason to ever do this. its called a gimmick.
