HD Loud Horns, Historic Engines, & A Guy Screaming: Watching the NS & Pan Am Office Train

I got up early and went to Wachusett Curve in Fitchburg to see the combined Norfolk Southern and Pan Am Railways Office Car Special. It was one of the only good spots between Ayer and Deerfield and as such there were a lot of railfans there with me. I'd guess there were between 20 and 30 other people lined up to get shots of this train.

Right before the OCS showed up, the guy who apparently owns the building right next to us decided to yell and scream at us because I guess someone's car was blocking a driveway or something. But after checking a property map it turns out we were technically on a vacant lot, not his property.

Even still, I think he could have been a little nicer about it, especially since he only had to wait a couple mins for the train to go by and everyone to leave.

Two things, where you shot him he's on MBTA track which is designed to allow passenger trains to go fast, and there is also a temporary speed restriction on the curve here.

This is great, the shots of the combined OCS (that I MISSED out on) through that incredible lighting plus the reaction of the so-called property owner gets you a VERY fine piece of railfan-oriented YouTube gold. I know that area, it's nothing but empty up by Wachusett Curve, I don't see how anybody could possibly claim property rights to the area where all of you had to have been standing. Too bad the location is going to possibly be a train station in the near future...
