The majority of APBT do possess a desire to fight other animals, just as the majority of greyhounds have a desire to run and chase small game such as a rabbit.

@rage340 Being bred and taught to fight is not the same as being forced. Obviously they are encouraged to fight. Fact is that even after hundreds of years of selectively breeding APBT to fight and being encouraged to fight, there are still APBT that choose not to fight. But I guess your argument is that it is wrong to force a dog to fight because it has no choice. Is it wrong to fight a dog that has a desire to fight other animals? Maybe. There would be no APBT if it weren't for the pit.

I run pure family ELI/BOZE/BULLYSON bred dogs and wouldn't trade them for anything. The true game dog will live on whether or not PETA and the HSUS like it or not. There are plenty of dedicated dogmen and women who won't let this breed die out, so try as you might, it won't ever happen. And to those who support PETA and the HSUS, go do some objective research about these ass clowns...

The majority of pits you see today are the ones that run around at the dog park playing with other dogs and kids and are friendly loyal dogs.

The fighters/game dogs are ones worthless fucks keep breeding and training to kill each other so you weak ass bitches can feel like a badass thru your dogs.

@XxmattitudexX Here's an idea for ' harm reduction', dont breed and raise dogs to fight!

There are more than enough agility/pulling/whatever competitions all over this country for people who love the breed and want to be involved in some kind of positive competition.

No need to be sick fucks who get off on the pain suffering and torture of an awesome breed of dog by breeding to fight and be agressive.

i am at least proposing some ideas for harm reduction in the situation.

under ideal conditions we could have the dogs contest each other and never

break any skin or lay a tooth on one another and still improve the breed.

you will never get to that point if you can only think in terms of black and white
