This was the last "Free" Concert in Hyde Park and also featured Quintessence (see our Quintessence clip) and the Edgar Broughton Band (maybe a clip from them later). The personnel were Paul Rudolph on guitar, Russell Hunter on drums and Duncan Sanderson on bass. Mick Farren is the one bellowing into the microphone.
The second song is apparently a version of Sister Ray, according to Mick Farren. You should hear their version of Louie Louie.

amazing, this riff (and some of garbled lyrics) are what became "uncle harry's last freakout"
well done for posting this!

Middle Earth club, Kings Street Coventry Garden, 1968, ( I think, too stoned then), only time I saw Mick and the Deviants, along with King Midas Watch Chain, Jeff Dexter and a somewhat pompous guy called John Peel manning the mikes, great fun though, crawling out of the club at dawn, and being hassled and verbally abused by the Coventry Garden Market stallholders just starting work, mmmm, changed days indeed.
