@FowlManor Muppets Christmas Carol had some dodgy music in it (hit and miss, really), but this song wasn't one of those. I feel like we molly coddle kids these days and we don't want them to see anything sad. Bloody nonsense. I'm going to assume everyone on this video remembers Bambi - we all survived, didn't we? We haven't all got clinical depression from watching kids movies with serious moments in them.

Just beautiful! I love this piece. I have the movie on vhs and its in but the dvd hasn't! Utterly terrible to cut such a beautiful track!

I imagine bought versions of the movie on DVD still have it in, but versions aired on television probably do cut it because kids don't want it... It's usually aired at kids peak time, after all

@Ollievarium That's just dumb. It's the most important song, and one of the most relevant parts of the story. Appeal to the kids... BAH!

I'll admit it--when Michael Caine starts singing, the tears start coming. The Book is even sadder because the spirit takes Scrooge to see Belle married so that Scooge is forces to glimpse the life he could have had.
