  • I've always felt I was born "before my time" as crazy as that might sound but, I've always had a taste for old music and this is a great example... the story line is a bit crazy but it gives you a sence of "feeling" as in back when music had meaning... Love this song. :)

  • 1900 music got a good kick-start

    1930 music got a soul

1950 music couldn't GET any better

1972 music tastes changed, but still pretty good

1981 music got strange and ill

1994 music got weirder and sicker.

    2007 music died

2011 music is ever rotting in his grave.

a few good artists, however are timeless.

Johny Cash ascends even those artists.

  • Johnny cash is amazing.

  • johnny cash and waylon jennings..great video

  • @fcoutts14 you make a valid point and i have to agree that there are a lot of great artists and musicians out there, but it's very hard to find the good ones. all the great artists and famous people have either lost their touch, or gone with the new generation which is downright horrible.

sure, everyone has their own taste and is entitled to have them, but can't we stick to the old times where songs were meant to tell a story or to entertain rather than to get you moving or make you crazy?

  • I'm going to break the long chain of comments about music's life-fullness, with an experience brought on by this song. Is it just me (I know Johnny is dead and lives on through his soul and music.) but when Johnny appears on the video in the black suit towards the end. It felt like he might have recorded this yesterday, or even just an hour ago. Personally I am amazed at that type of beauty in work.

  • @AnonymousVoid

I am seriously starting to get really pissed off seeing these kinds of comments... first, I'll say that music has not died, and never will... yes, nowadays we are surrounded by a lot of horrible musicians that use auto-tune and all that shit... I won't deny that... But music has not died... there are still plenty, a LOT of good bands, musicians, etc...

Hell, maybe it has for YOU, but I guess I think different from everyone else... who knows?

  • @AnonymousVoid I coudnt agree more :))

  • @AnonymousVoid i disagree about 1981

  • Music died BEFORE 2011.
