A story about the Jewish sports club Hakoah Vienna whose rich sports history was abruptly ended by the rise of Nazism. A somewhat different, spirited and positive account of the Holocaust times. Full of historical footage as well as contemporary interviews with the survivors who were members of the women's swim team and are for the occasion brought to swim together again in the old pool in Vienna 60-something years later.
Directed by Yaron Zilberman
2004 Zadig Productions

  • My Cousin played on the Soccer team which went over to the US in 1926.

  • Yeah, apart from the main story about the girl swimmers, the documentary features the soccer team's successes back in the day.

  • Where can I get a copy ?
