I've been a fan of Shuggie since 1970.
This reminds me also abit of Harvey Mandel's "Cristo Redentor" (although more imaginative)..maybe it's the string section that does it? Shorty Rogers had something to do with it.

You are blessed to have had a teacher so progressive, my 70s music teacher forced me to learn "You Light Up My Life" ;.) - but later in my musical "formal" education it was my good fortune to have a prof. who loved Art Pepper.
