Important: At the 09:10 mark I answer "No" but my answer is actually "Yes". In my mind I thought I had set up the question as a double negative by adding on a "NOT" prior to the "an inherent negative?" part. So the "No" answer actually means "yes".

Is not the point that spirituality is solely, (and crucially to the argument) a personal thing - while racist notions, inherently by their nature, will affect ultimately others, so fundamentally your comparison is flawed, is it not?

The same might be true for a person's views on homosexuality, too. Now the former topic of race I have no inner conflict with. But the latter issue of homosexuality I do have inner conflict with. I can't shift the inner sense that homosexuality it is wrong, dirty, and bad. While I can also rationalise that homosexuality it's OK and must be accepted. So, am I a bigot on the issue of homosexuality because I can not change / deleted that deep down sense I have of homosexuality?

Maybe such a person who holds such conflicting inner views on race will be prone to a mass hysteria such as Nazism though - or at least be prone to go along with it more passively or at the very least to not protest about it if it occured again. Thus, the saying that "for evil to occur all that is needed is for men to remain silent" - which I probably paraphrased.

AntiBullshitman, this is the first video of yours I've watched. It's clear. I watched it because it was one that Mel responded to by a video. You are right - if someone doesn't openly and avidly watch all of your videos they won't get an overal sense. But if you just do single issue videos then that will also require people watching that video openly and avidly and not bringing in their own already existing prejudices and bigotry anyway. So, maybe it's not possible to get your message across.

i think the point u make that some racists dont necessarily do bad things because of their racism is a valid one, but i think indirectly because of their racism theyl allow bad things to happen that they otherwise wouldnt

as for ur example of a spiritual person being reckless with their life i think thats a faulty arguement since being human we value life, organised religion is the negative, not spirituality

Merely believing that one race is superior to another and never acting on that belief will not hurt anybody either. So either they're both still bad on account of simply being false, or they're both fine since negative action doesn't have to be a result of either.

I could go on to point out how believing in an afterlife and keeping it all to yourself can still cause the believer to be reckless with the one life they have since they see it as just a stepping stone, but I'm sure you know that.

but spirituality is a false belief that doesnt effect others, its not until the point organised religion that discimination and hatred for non believers does it start causing harm, merely believing in a creator and an afterlife will not hurt anybody
