  • when I see this I feel so sad and I cannot imagine how terrible it must have been for the people of Rome to live through this period. Seeing and experiencing the Germans invading their city. My own mother was italian and lived in Via di Porta Labicana near the Station in Rome. She told me how they were starving and afraid.. My father was an English soldier and they met when, as he put it, he "liberated" her I would love to see this film in its entirety..
