It looks very real, but there is a slight latency that appears to be caused by rendering. Still, very nice.

How can it reflect surfaces that are not seen by the camera?

We use 360° HDRI environments to illuminate the object and for the reflections. We both can use stored HDRI maps or aquire and stream HDRI maps realtime

It's the augmentation of the reality with a realtime rendering that uses the real light of the environment. That's way you cannot note many differences from the real object
