@ngadiadiangadios you have a good sense, the song is truly passionate, it's about a town in rural Cape Verde where the women were arrested, the chorus says "ehhh we were treated so badly, ehhh we suffered a great deal" the first line of the song says in 1910 in Ribao Manuel, they took our wives to prison, the soldiers fired their guns untill they lost bullets, then they tried to run away tripping on rocks (farmers and stood up to the colonial order, and the soldiers came to punish the farmers.
