Here's a great shooter by NMK. Quickly becoming one of my favorites. Rock solid shooting with a very fun score mechanic. Absolutely badass game.

  • I checked this out the day it was added to MAME (back then, it had no sound), and was immediately drawn to it. I've come back to it occasionally hoping the emulation would improve. The PCBs go for way more than I'm willing to drop on a single game, so as much as I'd like to have it, I doubt I ever will. Have you considered sending it off to get the ROMs dumped?

  • @orangeActiondotcom My board is an undumped ROM revision. Having it dumped wouldn't really help sound emulation. I wouldn't be opposed to having it dumped, but I really like the game and like having a playable copy in my hands. From what I've heard, if you send a board to Guru, you don't get it back. Screw that!

  • Damn, I like games with girls with dicks shoved in their ears. Guess this is not the game for me...

  • @Terramax I was referring more to Touhou in all honesty, but some Cave fans are just as bad. ;)

  • What is your opinion on Thunder Dragon 2?

  • @quicksilvver Don't have it, and it's been a loooooong time since I've played it. Can't really give an opinion at this point. Would like to try it again though someday if I can find the board for a fair price.

  • This looks like an early manic shooter don't you think.

  • @Arc8deFever Sorry, mine is actually 1993/Tecmo. The Mame one doesn't say Tecmo and I remember the bootleg also not saying Tecmo.

  • I have the 1992/Tecmo version as well. I used to own a bootleg of this that sid 1993, so I wonder if thats what really got dumped in Mame.

  • I just got my Gun Nail pcb in the mail , man this game is soooo gooood! great video and thanks for sharing the scoring system. Rock on Superdeadite

  • Thanks for uploading this video. Before seeing this all I knew about the score mechanic was what I could get out of the Engrish on its flyer.

It works better in MAME than it used to but the PCM chip emulation still doesn't play more than one sound channel at once. I had no idea how great this game sounded on real hardware...

  • awesome video, thanks for sharing

  • Holy crap... I need to rip this scoring mechanic off!!

  • No eardicks? No interest!!

That game looks fucking awesome for an early 90s shooter though. Interesting scoring system too. looking forward to the OST upload

  • @superdeadite

Fair play. I love Mushimesama Futari, but after playing a fair few other Cave shooters I've decided I'm not a Cave Fanboy. Indeed, this game looks incredible.

  • gotta love how you flip the monitor instead of the game lol
