Now we blame the British for all the mess created by the Cypriots?!! Easy way out hey... The British brought civilisation to the island and yet we kicked them out... All current governments and previous ones since independence, brought misery and pain to the people of Cyprus. I say bring back the British and hand over the island to them... Best way forward...

who never allowed the Greek forces to defend the island of Cyprus.

Kissinger cant travel in many countries, because he will be arrested for war crimes.

@sanalbey the problem between us started earlier than 1960s, and i must say if the people were left alone we would still be fine. the constitution given to us was a trap, aiming to make it impossible for the rebublic to work. u must not forget at that time and a bit earlier all the greek islands were added to Greece so it was logical Cyprus to want that as well. we have to admit that all sides were making mistakes if we want to make it through, which i dont think it will happen

WE HAVE LİVED TOGETHER WİTH GREEKS TOGETHER FOR CENTURİES AND DİDNT ASİMULATE THEM. ofcourse there could be mistakes but we can succes to live together again. We can share everywhere look at e.u it is time to be together for all people and cancel the borders. Turkey traying to do this after 2008 with minester davutoğlu we are traying to be united with our all neighbours.

Hello All!!

just wondered i am trying to do some research on a place in Cyprus, that does not exsit anymore. The place is called Ely. My father was from there and moved over to the UK but i want to do some research on the old place.

does anyone know where i can get any info on this?

i have googled and tried but nothing comes up.
