You are the perfect example of what Patten says, "they have blocked any democratic progress." Would you these communists please at least get out of Hong Kong first? I want to vote as one of the Hong Kong citizens when I turn 18 in the next couple of years. Yet you people keep stopping that from happening. I just hate the communist control freaks like you. Thank God you guys failed at passing Article 23 or else I would have been committing 'thoughtcrime' now.

  • Chris please come to Hong Kong!

  • one person dislikes it, must be the prc itself!

  • British army should come back to HK now.

  • @fatloong

Most Pre-1997 Hong Kong ministers (as evident in Anson Chan and Donald Tseng, although the later is a known suck up but if he does not, how would he survive Chicom's purge after 1997 in the SAR government) know politics, it's only Chinese communists and their appointed ministers that do not (as evident in Dong, who is pretty much the George Bush of HK). RPC know politics, but not politics of governance but politics of causing chaos (Mao Zedong's doctrine).

  • Patten had been criticized many times for screwing Hong Kong's economy during his time as governor general by the communist lapdogs ministers within the Hong Kong government. Yet, these people did not know Donald Tseng was the financial minister during Patten's time as Governor General. The Communists' appointed ministers are so incompetent, they even fail in sucking up.

  • this guy actually did nothing much constructive during the 5 years. I only remembered there were many fire diasters happened during that time and tooks many lives of ppl. But i dont know why we didnt have any democracy even unitl 1970s, 80s and 90s when it was still British rule. But at the same time they just say China should allow full democracy to HK after handover. We are moving forward, it is just a part of history and the next generation will soon forget. Great.

  • sooner or later there will be democracy in hong kong... you must be joking Mr Patten. PRC is intentionally ruining hong kong for the past 10 years evidence by the fact that there has never been any official bridges between the govt of hong kong and Beijing or even any provinces in South China. There literary started the cold war period after Tong the previous governor stepped down. It won't end till the next hong kong governor knows politics.
