After the church's famous stained glass window is broken, Adam must try to find a way to raise the money for the repairs. His archdeacon (Simon McBurney) grills him on how he plans to do this, but sneers at Adam's ideas. He tells Adam that this is an "inner city church with inner city problems". Adam must somehow find an "inner city" solution.

@harrifer - I totally agree. The Church DOES come off well in this series. My point was that there should be more shows like this...but anytime there IS what I consider to be a 'realistic' (not to mention humorous) look at church life the evangelicals in North America protest and the show is usually cancelled.

@Judan98
I thought the Anglican church came off pretty well from this series.
I'm not religious but the impression I feel the series gave off was of a realistic and pragmatic church. Especially in the episode where they get taken over by the evangelical youth cult.

Whats sad is that anytime they try and make a series with a humorous or realistic look at church life in North America, the Christian Right goes ballistic and has it taken off the air by the middle of the first season.
