  • Where was this concert ?

    Ludwigshafen ?

    Thanks for this video,too.

  • Fulda

  • I first heared him on the first Robbie Robertson album, remember the song 'Somewhere down the crazy river' which is one of his finest drumparts, and i have followed him eversince. He is my all-time favorite drummer ;-)

  • If you like that track - it is simillar to "Claudio Baglioni - La Piana Dei Cavalli Bradi". Perfect drumming!

There is a video here on youtube too.

    Greetings from Germany

  • Great, isn't it?

  • YEA HY IS ALL GOOD ON DRUMS FROM FRANCE

    LISEN TO PACO SERY

  • wow

  • Twelve Moons, Dresden etc etc etc - listen and learn...

  • What kind of sitting is this?

  • yes. manu has great touch on the instrument. he's a very soulful cat. maybe he's not a "jazz drummer" but so fucking what. has has his own thing and is not just repeating hot licks.

  • They've actually done several albums together - Jan and Manu (with Katchatarian as well) - and it's produced some terrific moments.

Now what do you mean by concept? Do you mean genre? And why shouldn't they connect? Manu's a versatile player who brings an interesting touch to Jan's compositions which alas, are getting too mellow as he ages...

  • yes...I would consider MANU the drummer's DRUMMER.

  • Thx for the tip !

Great song too. And i bet i can hear Manu's good friend Pino Palladino on bass.

    Cheers and Ciao !
