Bolt action potato cannon

I built this bolt action spud gun just for kicks and a little engineering challenge for myself. I wanted to do it my way and haven't seen anyone else do it like this.

freakin smart man never thought of a bolt action on a spud gun you'd have to pre cut your ammo to fit snuggly in the barrale to get maximum effect though

@tatersalade1 The inside of the barrel is tapered and when I push down on the end of the barrel it cuts the potato to fit. As long as the potato is bigger than the barrel it will get a good seal. It leaves a bit of a mess in the housing though...

Awesome idea! Im currently working on a bolt action mechanism that uses short pieces of PVC as casings for pre-cut potatoes.

That was Cool! Definately gives the cannon a flourish just before letting loose, what a great Idea! I just finishd my 1st Potato Cannon and I'm Hookd!
