See a lot of negitive comments here, i drove Ailsa's for 5 years at Potter Bar for London Buses , great machines, and ours were in a sorry state, but when you were 20 down on market day on the 84's you always had a good chance of getting most of the back...... as long as you had a Ailsa,
I learned to drive on a Fleetline(DMS) and the Ailsa was a revalation to that or the Metrobus's we had top wack mabe 45mph and no chance on a hill, Alisa add another 15 to that and they would go up a hill

Hot, noisy, changing drivers means dicing with death, changing blinds also meant dicing with death. After 5 hours on these you were certainly glad to get off. Fleetlines were much better.
