my computer dosent let me open anything, (command prompt, internet, computer, control panel, start nothing)
I have no disk...
I try activating it with different product keys, wont work either, the internet dosent let it go threw ..

I have a problem with my computer (HP Pavilion dv6000), few weeks ago, its started giving me errors, crash, hang, freezes, etc. n mostly i do is to restart or download a program that could help...
anyways, Does system restore will help remove all error and missing program?
and why does system restore took a very long time continuously? ryt now its 4 or 5 hours from now...

@jarteaga87 Lets say you have no viruses whatsoever, then you make a restore POINT, then you download something that gives you a virus, since you made a restore point Before.. [BEFORE] ...you got the virus, when you restore, youll have no virus, but youll also lose the program also.

What if you didnt Create a Restore Point.. I didnt create a restore point bcuz i didnt really cared about it. Now i need bcuz im trying to make my comp faster and get rid of all the stuff i dont need. What do you do?

It is easy for you to say repair with the cd isn't it :)
I feel that it's a handfull more than that.
I have never been able to "repair" a windows installation with the cd since windows 2000 came out.
