...and when these cows over ingest too much salt in their body on a regular basis, there is a big chance for them to suffer from kidney and liver failure due to over ingestion of sodium,plus their veins and arteries will become brittle and can suffer from arterosclerosis.

this is not necessary, did you guys do a study on this? when the cow lick the salt ,they salivate a lot and a lot of sodium and minerals and potassium gets lost when they salivate, you guys are just fooling yourselves, you make the cow loose their sodium and potassium then force them to lick this salt block?? funny..why not just sprinkle few amounts of salt into their daily food servings?? for me this is useless.
