Deadmau5 Strobe Tutorial HALF SPEED (main part only)

If you love this song as much as I do, you'll probably want to re-create it. I used FL Studio, but it really doesn't matter what program you use.

It's a tough one to figure out.
I split out the melody and bass lines, then reduced the tempo by half.

I used 1/6 beat snap and Quick Legato. You have to mess around with WASP XT to get a sound that's close...that part is pretty self explanatory.

@doevid25 what ? :D then you probably should turn it up to 160+. you just can make dnb song at 88 BpM, it´s impossible and if you do it, it will not be dnb but experimental. understood ?

@DJnoratos i use ableton and when i put a drum and bass drumloop sample in. the bpm automaticly goes to 88.

aaaaargh, i cant stand how he forgot only one thing that makes all the difference in the world, you cut all teh piano roll note off a tiny bit before the next one and it the synth prog sounds more choppy and switchy instead of bouncy and flowey, that's the only way i caa describe it.

there are a few things that aren't quite right. Try listening to this at the same time as the original and you'll figure it out. Thats what I had to do.

Alright bro, quality little tutorial here. Just a quesiton re: your limiter. Do you reduce note velocity or bring the overall volume of the channel on the mixer down? Whenever I try anything like this on the deafult settings (vel=100) and standard mixer volume settings, it peaks like a biatch. Cheers
