Sprite Tutorial

Sprites are very popular during tournaments on Gaia, so I've made a video to teach you how to make your own using Photoshop.

Some tools I used in the video:
Polygonal Lasso tool -- Making specific selections to delete or change the hue.
Pencil Tool: To draw pixels
Eraser: Used set on Pencil mode to give it a pixel edge
Hue and Saturation Adjustment: To change the color of a section.

is there a way to make the sprites move so you can use them in a sprite movie

There is, it's rather complicated but you just draw each seperate movement on a different layer and transfer it to imageready.

I'm sure there's lots of great tutorials online :D

Usually I start with a base color and create the entire shape of the body. Then add the shades, face, clothing, and hair.

There's a lot of good pixel art tutorials online, that show the best way to start out doing pixel art/sprites.

@jszaraki You have 5 or so images of the sprite in a different motion, and load them all at a certain speed so it creates an animation.

Why would you use two huge, ridiculous masks to change her skin tone when you could have just inverter a small mask on the belt, and ended up with a more accurate effect on the tone change.

Please create your own sprites and use these as reference material to give you an idea.
