  • i'm a tea party conser. and hated the goverent deal, but what ford done was low down because it was to sell ore ford cars at the expence of 10's of thous of workers and all there family, and plus chevy is a huge part of american/ pride. i hate obama but i'm glad what he done, teaparty2012 (conservative way is the only way)

  • @hotrod4you2 Hate to say it but if you suport Big Government Bailouts you are no conservative...regardless of whether or not you bleed Red white and blue...Chevy today is a HUGE part of Big American Government at taxpayer expense....that is wholly un American and NOT conservative

  • General Motors today $8.1 billion in government loans repaid, five years ahead of schedule

"As of today, GM has repaid in full and interest," said GM CEO Ed Whitacre to a crowd assembled on floor of a GM plant in Kansas City, Kan.

Whitacre also announced GM's plan to invest $257 million in that plant and another in Detroit to ramp up production of the Chevy Malibu.

  • @doug5790 If you believe the Govt installed puppet then you are unfortunately a bit naive...GM just invested 100s of MILLIONS of Dollars in a plant in drum roll.....CHINA...go Amerika

  • Shame on ANY company that took Government Bailouts.

"Even our Commercial policy should hold an equal and impartial hand: neither seeking nor granting exclusive favours or preferences; consulting the natural course of things; diffusing and diversifying by gentle means the streams of Commerce, but forcing nothing; establishing with Powers so disposed; in order to give trade a stable course." --George Washington, Farewell Address, 1796

  • I love Ford and I love this commercial! I am 48 years old and have seen a lot of crap happen in this great country of ours, but I never imagined that there would come a day when we would visit once more - after Iacoca and Chrysler - the idea of private profit but public debt for a company? It is the natural progression of poorly run companies to fail! It is the duty of government to sit back and let it happen! Kudos for telling it like it is!

  • One of the few times i agree with fox news, Ford had the balls not to take Government money.

  • That's the hard knocks of capitalism folks (something Obama doesn't quite get). When you make a shitty product nobody wants, nobody's gonna buy it and your company is going to go under.

Simple as that, make better decisions, and make better products and your employees will be in better hands (generally speaking). If not, then you're gonna go under and somebody else will rise and take your place.

  • @Salvysahagun not according to ford. ford said that it was at the end of a four week cycle.

given they've had TWO or THREEother similar commercials, i'm going with ford's own words.

  • @geber87 and before anyone comments on my grammar, yes the "you" as opposed to your was intentional.

  • @hotrod4you2 First of all, I don't expect you to have perfect grammar on a you tube post, but I really have little to no idea what you just said. Secondly, if you your "glad what he done," I doubt you Conservative street cred.

  • Did the government pull this video?
