On a 'slow' day in 1996 the members of Apple's Newton team found a creative use for about 4000 'surplus' Newton modems.

Great stuff. If all offices in the US were this fun we would be a better country. Ver.2 should take us outside to the wild blue yonder to the unknown. Do Dominos work in low gravity?

It did take some time to edit... especially on the pre PowerPC model I started with. If memory serves it took about 3 solid days of time (spread out over a little longer.) It was nice when I could move over to the PowerPC. Certainly a bit easier these days.!

Wow that must have taken forever to edit on those old systems. I know the times were bad but I miss that era of Apple hardware; I always wanted a PowerBook Duo with Dock setup. What a badass concept. I bought a MessagePad 130 on eBay a year ago to experience it since I missed out originally... the Newton was way ahead for its time.

I have a Newton MP 130. Sadly the touchscreen got crashed, and I am longing to buy another Newton on Ebay and load it up with software from unna.org.
