@Skogfeen My old norse isn`t 100% fluent exactly, but I believe the title of the song  can be interpreted as "Val" - "galder", which i think mean warsong, and I know that the opening lines mean " Odin, in Valhalla; I praise your name". Also, "ef ek finnr Banumanni min, thar mun ek lata Hring blodraudan om Hals Honum" mean: "If I find my killer, I shall draw a crimson ring about his neck (less poetically; "I will slit his throat"). That would be at least a small contribution from me ;)
