Peter Dumbreck's wild flip in the Mercedes-Benz CLR during the 1999 24 Hours of LeMans. Mark Webber suffered a similar crash in qualifying when the car became unstable when pulling out of another car's slipstream. After Dumbrek's crash, the CLRs were retired from the race. Neither Webber or Dumbrek suffered serious injuries in the crashes.

  • @MrCool621 It was drafting behind the airstream of the first car. When it pulled out to pass he left the airstream, so the air that would have been going over his car creating downforce, went under his car, and he didn't have enough downforce to keep the car level, so it took off.

  • I don't get it how did fly up

  • Didnt they retire the final car?

  • Oh dear we have built an airplane

  • You know that one in the olden days in black and white? The car crashed and flew into the bleachers? MY GRANDPA JUST MADE IT OUT ALIVE! He and his pilots friends had really good reflexes and ducked HE EVEN GOT A BURN! That shows how bad the crash was. And if you look in a book called 501 disasters if you look up 24 le mans he is right beside the crash with the fire!

  • @nPucTPaCTeH Webber did it during the warm-up

  • wow, so fast

  • I would buy a flying MBZ any day.
