@zapkvr There is something I've noticed about atheists, every single one of them: They absolutely cannot discuss religion without sounding infuriated, blustering their views with venom and spite. You can't carry on a conversation with anyone on this site without insulting them, spitting and frothing as you speak. You'd like to think you're an intellectual, but your feelings show as do your ad hominem attacks. Your feelings are like the balloons in a Macy's Day parade. You are on display.

@fourcams I don't know how you've managed to only ever talk to atheists who are atheists because of something like sexual abuse(my guess is that it's more likely that this is merely something you've convinced yourself of), but now you can finally say that you've talked to someone who is an atheist simply because theists haven't met their burden of proof. And I'd be glad to discuss it further with no ad hominem and no parade balloons.

@Nightmare91o Every single atheist I've ever talked to has an emotional reason for believing as they do. They shroud their arguments in intellectual language because they don't want to go there. I asked an atheist once what happened to him, and he shook as he told me about being molested by a Catholic priest.  I will say one thing about religious people: it is WORSE when they do wrong because they do it representing God. This guy may never believe again, and I don't blame him.

I feel that atheists may be closer to god than believers in god. My evidence is that believers in god are guided and directed mostly and life therefore is joyful and peaceful, whereas some atheists are self driven and work very hard at making their life peaceful.  I do not want to disrespect or convince anybody otherwise of their beliefs or lifestyle. This is an observation I've made and am sharing it.

@fourcams I've noticed the same about religious people: they cannot discuss religion without appearing infuriated that someone else may not believe the same as them. Don't point fingers; religious folk are hardly known for being rational and calm in debate....
