Still in this state, her phrasing is exquisite.
There's form, color and dimension ascribed to each word, each note, each line.

I can't understand why do we always need to be so critical and severe with Callas' last appearances. Why do we always feel necessary to say the obvious things? The voice was tired, and her high notes, and her chest notes... and so what??? Wasn't she a human being? With a sensitive, fragile and very tormented soul? We 'll never thank her enough for every moment she lived with us and for all the beauty and light she gave to our lives. She literally changed my life and I pray for her every day!

muy cierto que su voz ya estaba en decadencia en la epoca eu realizo esta grabacion... pero aun asi esta aria la prefiero en la voz de callas... bella callas!

One of the reasons why this performance is successful is that the aria is vocally undemanding, letting her concentrate on musical expression rather than mere survival. This makes me wonder whether her real mistake did not consist in trying to sing her old repertoire, to which her voice was by then obviously unsuited, instead of selecting pieces that were easier on the voice yet still gave her room to express her extraordinary musical talent.

Probably one of the most interesting document during the 1974 tour, with "tu che le vanita" performed in USA (chicago, i think)
Very well sung despite few problems.

I don't think she sounds bad here. May be low tones are not as well as they were but she sounds better than other today singers
