Does the SWR go way off if the counterpoise is on the ground? I have seen this happen on my buddipole when used as a vertical (buddistick). In that mode the only way I can get SWR down is to elevate the counterpoise as you have done here. Nice video! Keep us updated on the progress. Let's see some contacts my friend! 73! George

Hi George. Thanks for the comments. The antenna was made for my ham friend in Reno NV who's constantly harassed by the HOA. Regarding the SWR, I find it easy to tune when its above the ground. In fact you see the SWR at 1.1:1 during my video test. It is possible to tune to the lowest SWR even when I lay the counterpoise on the ground. First, I elevated the antenna to 4 feet then, I ran the counterpoise down. The antenna tuned with shorter counterpoise this time (27ft for 40M). 73! al
