@hillspring13 no its just the classic sh.. , you know, could be any other connector, but real harp player got all the good mics or most of the good mics with amphenol connectors

well the R198 is good for me, it sounds just fine, if the older ones are good for you no problem, and i do have some elements in my descriptions i think

I have some mics, i'm a collector, but just Shure and Astatic's.
I have 2 original Astatic JT-30 (A & B model):
- A model: storng MC-101
- B is MC-151, but its about 80% now, its only 3 years old, i bought it as a new...
1 Astatic JT-30H (XLR), its has no volume pot, and 100% MC-151.
2 Hohner Blues Blaster with 100% MC-151 both.
Shure 520D, i change the mexican 99S556 element for a strong Shure CM 99B86.
Shure dark silver hammertone bullet (it's maybe CR20) i put the 520d's mexican element.

Please talk about the origin ones nearest, for example:
- Astatic MC-101 (original crystal),
- Astatic MC-127 (original ceramic),
- Astatic MC-151 (replacement for the MC-101),
- Shure CM,
- Shure CR (white & black label),
- Shure 99-xxx crystal,
- Shure R5 (replacement for the CR (???))
- Shure R7 (replacement for the original Shure crystals).
