This short documentary tells the story about about crew of youth in East Africa. They've been training acrobatics, break dance, and capoeira on the beach of Zanzibar for over a decade now practicing their flips bouncing off an old truck tire wedged in the sand. Thnyean, the leader, said it all started with a group of friends, when he was only nine years old, after watching a capoeira movie "Only the Strong". Now he and his friends teach the youth providing training, dedication, and mentoring to one another as they grow and expand in skill and recogniton. The ZSTC project is a project put together by AVE in order to support the Zanzibar Stone Town Capoeira (ZSTC) crew in their aspirations. Collectively partnered with Acro Sports and fundraising around the SF community AVE needs to raise $35,000 to provide professional workshops brought directly to the ZSTC youth crew instructed by 3 esteemed master instructors of their individual craft (acrobatic, break dance, capoeira).
