Former Solicitor General Ted Olson agrees with predictions that Sonia Sotomayor will be easily confirmed as the Supreme Court's 111th justice. He explains that Republican Senators have historically been more willing to vote in favor of Democratic nominees than Democrats have of Republican nominees.

  • Everyone of those Republican nominated Judges are terrible Judges. It not that we want to hate your Judges, it's just you bring the worst ones. What do you expect the Democrats to do?

  • @variablast Scalia is probably the worst judge to ever be in the SCOTUS. His judge activism is unrelenting.

  • "59 Senators and one comedian" Lol'd tbh. That was a good one.

  • ya, that was totally side stepping my point. You know what I meant by it., but if you wish for me to spell it out, I will.

"A smart white man can make better desicions than a latino woman."

  • some of my cousins called Clinton the first black president so I don't think that is crazy at all. wouldn't be the first mixed up yankee.

  • its beyond a republican talking point if the general public thinks that also. It may very well be a talking point, but it clearly has resonated with the general public in terms of its racist nature.

the focus on that speech is no different than if anyone else had said such a thing and wanted to be a Supreme court judge.

  • Sotomayor was asked if she believes in the basic right to self defense.

The fact that she avoided aswering the question tells us her answer is the wrong one.

An anti-self defense gun grabber like her doesn't belong in our government!

  • Can someone tell me exactly what she said that was racist?

  • Please don't allow Sotomayor in! Please don't! She has chosen from her words that she is an activist! During the hearings it's obvious that she is telling lies. Lies.

  • Who in the last century has had more federal judicial experience?
