the songs of sotigui kouyate グリオのうた／ソティギ・クヤテ

This is the songs of well known actor of west africa, Sotigui Kouyate who is also well known as actor of peter brook's international theater.
Sotigui from a traditional Glio family of Mali and Burkina Faso. Because of that, he learned and sung many traditional songs also composed own songs too. This recording is take from the concert at studio 200, ikebukuro,Tokyo. Sotigui and Bakary and Toshi were worked with Peter Brook's production "Tempest". This concert was organized by Toshi and Harue Momoyama, during "Tempest" playing in Tokyo.

1991年ピーター・ブルックの「テンペスト」公演で来日した役者のソティギ・コヤテとバカリ・サンガレを招いて土取利行と桃山晴衣がスタジオ200で企画した特別企画「­音楽大陸アジア・アフリカ」のライブより。
ソティギは西アフリカのマリ、ブルキナ・ファソに広がるグリオ（吟遊詩人・音楽家）の家系に育った生まれながらの楽人。映画や演劇とは異なる彼の音楽面が聴衆を魅了した。
