Hi -
Thanks for your reply and nice comment. For at least the last 5 or 6 years the fashion in Norway has been to cut the manes flat - all one length. You can check it out at one of the Norwegian Fjordhorse web sites. You will see some beautiful Fjords there.

The music is "The hall of the mountain king" or, in the original Norwegian, "Dovregubbens Hall." Thanks for your comment.

Hi, The music is Edvard Greig, famous Norwegian composer. I don't recall which piece it is, but can let you know when my husband arrives home. Yes, Erlend thinks he's pretty amazing too. So far, he has 70 registered progeny in 4 countries. He won the Get of Sire class in 2006 at the 1st National Fjord show. Good boy! Thanks for your interest. Peg

Hei hei, Thanks for your interest in Erlend. Brunblakk translates as brown dun but we prefer to use the Norwegian terms, so we call him Grå. Tusen takk - Peg Knutsen

Hi, Thanks for your interest in our pride and joy. Erlend stands for outside mares as long as they are registered Fjord horses and not too closely related. He has 70 registered progeny in 4 countries at this point. Let us know if you are interested.
Thanks again - Peg Knutsen
