Dylan's surrealistic masterpiece from Highway 61 Revisited (1965). Have a listen to Jan Lewis's "Execution Row", a brilliant variation on the song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MQNBJpapIpQ

  • Decades ago I listened to this repeatedly. Today, on a blog I read where we were discussing the battle for Tahrir Square the line was mentioned "the riot squad is restless - they need somewhere to go.' Thanks for this rendition.

  • @toddthedrysocket You're welcome. It's a great song.

  • Hello

    Raymond...

Dylan was and remains the poet of a generation,no doubt about it...and your delivery of this all-time favorite (written in Chelsea which was bustling with night life at the time...but by comparison today, seems like Desolation Row ) is surly a loving tribute showcased in top form.

    Pax,

    Max

  • @misterstewball It's one of my favourite Dylan songs - though I do have many favourites!

  • A friend of mine once fell asleep on the bus listening to this song, and when she woke up, it was still playing.

  • @SirCoughsalot I hope my rendition doesn't put people to sleep!

  • WTF.........The circus sure is in town

  • great cover. im happy to see people still listening to Poetic knight of america or other words Bob Dylan. but as the time progresses all the legends of the music are being forgotten due to the music wave of the 21st century.

  • Are you on acid?
