She wouldn't need to be a bird without a wing
Or be a servant to a telephone ring
She could be sleeping in the comfort of another bed
It wouldn't matter to a man with an open heart
Here comes right now...

She could be moody, dramatic as a play
Or be evasive as a shadow in the shade
Could be irregular and singing in her underwear...
It wouldn't matter to a man with an open heart
Here comes right now...

Her wild and wise womanly
Introspectiveness
Her faults and files of foolishness...

Wouldn't matter to a man with an open heart...
Here comes right now...

  • Wow, it's been so long since I've heard this song!

As soon as it started, my spirits lifted right up! I gotta get this on CD, ASAP!

As this was the only consistent line-up (Fripp, Belew, Bruford and Levin), it is unfair to call it my favourite incarnation of KC...but I will ANYWAY! Love this line-up!

  • So reminiscent of talking Heads.

  • @JahTubetv Is a Chapman Stick, Good Ear.!

  • do i hear fretless *guitar* on this?!?

  • what a rhythm section..always in the pocket no matter how high of a musical cliff fripp and belew are going to make the band leap. this band in all it's incarnations has been a treasure to me the last 42 years.

  • My favourite drum track of all time; genius from Bruford.

  • I love how this album starts out so 80's pop and slowly gets more experimental/progressive as you listen to the album. One of their best works

  • @tapkae ~ point accepted. i solute you understanding.

  • @thepofmeister The chorus at about 1:03 and 2:00 has slapped and popped notes (with what sounds like pretty fresh strings), which is not so easy to do on a Stick. A Warr Guitar would accommodate that, but of course he's not using one. Most of the song is synth bass. Compare to Elephant Talk for Stick, or Thela Hun Gingeet with Music Man bass.

  • @tapkae sounds like his stick to me, but ~ i'm prepared to learn somethin'...

  • @thepofmeister Actually on this song Tony is using synth bass and Music Man bass guitar, so it sounds to me.
