When I found out Kelly had never gone shooting before we had to make sure we started her out on a good pistol. Lucky girl! I had been waiting over a year to shoot an XD in .40S&W and here she gets to on her first time.

Spoiled brat! LoL.

  • you can see her close her eyes...I've never shot a 40 but was thinking about getting the XD40 sub-compact for Concealed Carry, how's recoil on that 40?

  • The recoil is very controlable. I finally bought an XD40 in 5" tactical model (see my new video). I shoot fast and the XD40 allows me to dump a full mag and have a 6 inch grouping.

  • @3liversa use ear plugs

  • @Kurac80 yes

  • I love my XD, mine is a .45 though, and it makes a great sound!!, lol. Leaves me deaf for 2 days, but that's not a bad thing, these guns are loud and show their true potential, the XD let's you know who's boss, :D

Adding on the reliability and simplicity, there's no need for tools to field strip, and anyone can handle it. I definitely agree this is a great piece of machinery, Glocks aren't bad, but if I had to choose, I'd go with the XD, it's more comfy on the grip and it doesn't look like your

  • @92HondaEX the recoil is terrible on a subcompact

  • Is that a Croatian gun?

  • @vipermendoza the XDM 40 has no recoil at all its like shooting a 38.

  • @nordlichreiter yea u have to learn to let the boom go off and let the recoil take controll... let the fear of recoil fade away and soon ul realize a soft, yet firm, grip will not release the pistol. Also ppl don't know a simple thing to do and go spend hundreds getting custom grips... sigh. Heres the secret... skateboard tape! 4 sub-compact its a no brainer.

  • @92HondaEX

It takes a lot of practice to not shut your eyes. Usually it's the overpressure that causes the shooter to close their eyes, not the sonic signature of the round as it exits the barrel; which is the bang that is heard when firing. The trick is to concentrate on the target, and practice.

  • @urstruly83 use th power of the G23!
