We are really excited to present this ground-breaking project which is part of Kinect Fun Labs. Air Band turns you into a musical superstar regardless of your musical talent! All you need to do is act out the motions of your desired instrument. Even if you don't have an ounce of musical ability you can shine like a star! In only a few minutes you'll have created a musical masterpiece (and a rocking performance!) that you can upload and share with family and friends.
Air Band is our first Kinect experience in partnership with Microsoft and a great opportunity to make fun games that anybody can enjoy.

@FastTquick I really don't think they should be charging for "tech demos" though. The sounds don't even match the movements that come out. Its a constant track and you making a certain gesture makes the chosen instrument kick in with a predetermined track. They could of done at least something on drums that could detect which drums are hit or something like that, or the movement on guitar changes pitch and right hand attack or speed or something.... blah

Interesting concept. I like the looks of it. I'd never pay for it though, as I prefer playing the real thing. I don't think there is anything wrong w/people buying something like this just for the lulz, however.

@LordSilmiINC To show all the cool things that Kinect can do. These Kinect Fun Labs games don't really make for compelling games on their own and and really just tech demos to meant to show what the Kinect sensor is capable of and how it could be used in games.

this game works SO well at tracking movement, best kinect game so far in terms of how well it works - you can even play sitting down. please add more instruments like saxophone!
