"One of the highlights has been the commercial we created for the Topsy Foundation, an NGO we have supported for over 10 years. "Selinah" is a powerful and moving tribute to the restorative effects of treating the deadly HIV/AIDS virus with anti-retroviral (ARV) medication. It won January's Ad of the Month and has been shortlisted as a Clio finalist, but much more importantly, it is helping to raise awareness about ARVs."

The Topsy foundation's moving film "Selinah" came out on top without any debate. Humour ensured that 1st for women's "so backward" came in a close second and Kalahari.net "farmer" was third by a slightly wider margin. When asked for one memorable piece of work from the two months some of the judges picked "Selinah".

  • Brilliant video , Very inspiring unlike typical AIDS video's thos one does make a difference, coz i will sms and donate atleast twice. R15 is nothing but i think a lot of R15ands can make a difference..so before you buy your next nice meal it wouldnt hurt to drop that sms..

  • @mcdonsan Sure. You have a great point. But when I say they all should be like this, I mean they all meant to have meaning. The thing is that if this ad was made for a sugar brand, it would completely loose its point. This is the challenge advertising people should take.

  • @Dusketti well...the commercial basically shows the effect of the treatment they provided to the woman. the 90th day actually is the last day (may be) of her treatment and then they count back to the first day when she was in a very bad condition ...I hope now you get the meaning ...it really makes sense!
