  • First of all, music is most definitely a subjective experience. Second of all, he is one of the most well-respected guitar players in the industry, a true musician's musician. He enjoys a vital role between generations of the blues, and is an icon of cool. Show some respect!

  • once again another jackass who doensn't get it. It is completely fine if you don't like jimmie's playing, but to say that he is horrible is to display a level of ignorance that can only really be found on a youtube comment section

  • @Iart1990: Clapton has been ripping off Freddie King since he was 20 years old, he'd tell you that himself. I'll excuse your comment (and your language) because you've obviously been drinking :). Go jerk off to Rory Gallagher while fantasising about using your next J1 to come to Chicago- where you can hear some real blues.

  • @anndeesavage Couple of things: theres no need to shite on about how good jimmie is to me cos as ive said before it wasnt even me that posted that comment.Im sorry but both stevie and clapton are better that him.but i suppose that can come down to a matter of opinion. I may have been a bit excessive targeting "fucking americans" but i suppose i was a bit pissed off after being called a drunkard just because im irish. Anyway, mind your own fucking business asshole.

  • @Pre00 fucking retard read my other comment

  • @lart1990 Couple of things: one, JLV is a blues master. And his little brother's idol. I consider him the best white blues guitar player around. Yes, he's better than Clapton. And two, your 'fucking americans' comment is as ignorant as Pre00's. You two deserve each other. Remember, blues is American. So is everyone that plays it the right way.

  • @Pre00 haha this wasnt even me that posted this comment. not that i need to explain myself to a fucking racist, agist, ignorant prick. fucking americans

  • @lart1990 ..oh snap yer just 22..sorry and from sot Ireland ..so you're a drunk cocksucker..cheers mate..LOLOL

  • @lart1990 LOL...right, jimmie doesn't "feel" what he plays..just like you don't feel dat cock in yer mouth..stfu non-playing shit-for-brains...:)

  • Not a terrible musician, I'd say, but he just doesn't seem to FEEL his blues. You gotta feel those blues for instrument mastership to mean anything. This guy just doesn't feel the blues... Very, very ordinary. I like THE BLUES, not this tripe.

    Peace.

  • definately chrook! saw him many times at dingwals london. with tbirds and he was sooo great. did you see him play with his leg in plaster up to the top? no explanation just played amazing!

really the reason i got into the guitar.

    danny

  • One of my fav blues instrumentals of all time.

I saw JLV do this in a bar in '80 or '81 and it was ridiculous. He had a lot more edge to his playing back then.
