Anime DVD Collection Update, August 4h, 2010 (part 2)

Okay, I'm uploading this one a bit blind since most of my extra time last night disappeared when I watched Kick Ass. Neat movie.

As you can probably expect, the other 14 DVDs of Fighting Spirit are en-route. In fact, they're supposed to arrive today (the 5th). I've also ordered Pokemon seasons 4, 5, 7, and 8. Not sure about season 3 since there are two episodes that haven't been released... then again, they haven't been released so I should just get what I can while I can, right? Hmmm...

Oh, and since I mentioned Gurren Lagann movie 2, I should also mention that Bandai appears to be selling it through Amazon right now, if you want to get it...

I'm getting ready to purchase but what is the difference between the hybrid and viridian collections on rightstuf?

When The Right Stuf labels something as hybrid, that means the DVD contains both an English dub and the original Japanese dub with subtitles. If a DVD has only a dub or a DVD only has subtitles, it'll be labeled one of this instead of hybrid.

Viridian Collections are Funimation terminology for the second time they release a DVD, I believe.

It's from the AnimeOnDVD Forums. Solicitations get posted on there months in advance (They already have Nov. up for some companies). Amazon and DVDAF usually take a long time to list, much less keep up the correct release date. You should really try out the forums, if your into forums that is.

The Ikki-Tousen box coming out on the 31st only has Dragon Destiny in it. Yep, that's right they're releasing the final volume on the same day as the complete collection. (They're doing the same with Queen's Blade as well.) As far as Zetsubou Sensei goes: It's not cancelled, just extremely delayed. They've talked about moving from singles to 1/2 season sets, so this may end up being their first attempt at it.

Wow, I thought I was the only one to watch Urusei Yatsura. Can't wait for the Dirty Pair tv series to come out this year.
