Mark performs a new song, "Follow Me (The Hypocrite Song)" at the 2011 Fall Conference of the New York State Young Republicans in Rockland County.

The song was written after Mark had an exchange on Twitter with a so-called "progressive" who told Mark to "open [his] heart and mind" because he didn't agree with her bigoted point of view.

Since this is a new song, there is no "studio" version yet, but it is hoped it will be the next single after "I Will Love You If You Let Me," currently in production.

Lyrics:

Lived a life that made me proud
It took me farther from the crowd
Punished for my honesty and for my love of my country
These things I think are not allowed

She lives a life of vanity
She talks in soundbites from T.V.
Thinks she's kind and reverent, enlightened and so tolerant
She'll kill you if you disagree, and she says....

"Open your heart and love my bigotry,
Open your mind and think exactly like me
Don't you know the only way you'll be free
Is if you follow me?"

And she says, "Your ideas are not that good, 'cause
I don't get all the stuff I could
You were born a certain way so you should work and pay and pay
So I can have the things I want

And I'll attack you if you fight
Because you shouldn't have the right
I'll punish you for honesty, 'cause right now this is my country
I hate you 'cause you're on the right."

"And I will steal from what you've earned
So we don't have to do our share
And I will call it charity
It's only just, it's only fair."

  • repubocrats: Um, no! if you actually listed to the song, you'd see the perspective. However, the political purgation is irrelevant. It applies to the partisanship that is rampant in the country. And online seems to increase it's volume.

  • Are you a liberal? Because if you are this is very insulting to attend a young Republican meeting with your hateful song. We need more love in this country not random trolls blaming the right wing for their problems.
