The Mark of a Man - Setting the right priorities & being a good example to all

Just a few thots about what a man should and should not do. Its a good reminder for me because so often I find myself getting involved in too much and that detracts from me providing for my family. We need to stay on track and be the best man we can be so we can be the best husband and ultimately the best father for our children so we can pass on to them how to conduct themselves; with honor, integrity, etc.

If you have lost your way or screwed up some priorities along the way, take the time to put them back in order.

I hope this helps.

Take care & God bless,

Steve

  • I'm a young airman, and I'm getting married to the best woman in my world. We plan to have children a little ways down the road. Short story long, you have helped set in stone the ideals and key points of being the man I have and will strive to be. My future wife, and children are going to be better because of the ideals, like you stated, and the continuous efforts to be a better man. Thank you for sharing and god bless. -Mike, 19

  • Dude, you just spoke the words of wisdom that my autism couldn't speak, I agree 110%.

  • Great commentary, great wisdom. Thanks!

  • Good speech, Steve...and words for all of us to live by.

  • Well said, you're a good man. By the way, don't be afraid to add some more water to that oatmeal....the spoon stands up in it! Brian

  • I think both men and women are encouraged by our pop culture to stay selfish children forever. Why are there so many people just walking away from their marriages/children/debts nowadays? They don't want to take responsibility for their own lives, much less be on the hook for a family. Society no longer holds people responsible. Its fashionable to always be a "victim" and blame someone else for your troubles. Man up America ! Stop asking others to pay for your health care, children , mortgages!

  • Man you're preaching to a generation raised by a bunch of femi nazis!! You're wasting your breath. But I am being negative, hopefully someone gets the message.

  • lets us all do the work of being real men...thank you

  • A lot of us have been through this. Great words of advice.

  • well said words, I have gone thru and thought about the same things. Its like we are having a cup of coffee together:)
