  • I never thought about staking the bank pre-spawn. Great tip! I usually vary the depths at boat houses. Thanks for sharing.

  • @dynamobro This is my first time to build a stake bed.... crappie love structure... I retire 8/31/2010 and I got to get all my ducks in a row so I can crappie fish 3 - 4 times a week. I may do a bridge fishing video... time will tell. Take care and good fishing.

  • @CrappieTexan Do you ever have a problem with the game warden while bridge fishing. Isn't it illegal to anchor near a bridge nice 911?

  • @damontoney

It is not against the law in Texas..... But I do not ancor or tie off, I am on the move all the time.... I dont wait for the fish to come to me...I go to them...

  • very cool! trying to get into sac a lait fishing, oh and thanks for drinking folgers coffee! thats money into my pocket :)

  • Cant you build a mold for the concrete so as not to use so many buckets??

I do like the idea of using black 1/2" pvc like u see in moblie homes better than survey stakes!

  • Great stuff. Try putting some small stones in the bucket first then pour your cement. You can get the weight with the small stones first then your cement will go on top . You don`t use as much cement too. Wow looks like your going to be filling the freezer. I am going to make some beds this weekend. Good luck.

  • I've never seen anyone go to as much trouble to do something the hard way. No need to pre-screw the boards into the bucket, then later try and mix the concrete inside the bucket.

Simply mix up your concrete in a wheelbarrow, pour into bucket, then place the sticks in one at a time and wait.

Better yet, use 1/2" pvc and the hook will not get hung up, slides right up the pvc.
