most of what i'd shoot on a steady came would be at 14mm anyways, it's not like the DOF is really that tight anyways. i have the GH1/H4n combo, most of the time i just plug a cheap azden short shotgun to the GH1 and don't even use the H4n, but that's just laziness. good video though, i've been putting off building a steady cam, after watching this i think i'll get back on that, thanks for posting!

Try this: Varizoom VZ-EFCU
Only wired focus control I know of. A really good buy, only like $675. Works for any lense up to 20 feet away. You should really check this out. Works wonders for steady cam and jib operation.

the poor man's steadycam can't create anything EVEN CLOSE to this. The poor man's steadycam SUCKS.
